“I decided to stardardize on a number of Stihl garden power tools. The service provided was first class. All my order was delivered as promised within 2 working days. “Bought this as a gift for my husband from our children. He was thrilled, loved it and has used it everyday since he received it. He said it's so useful and perfect as a key ring. “Bottom line - I have carried a Leatherman everyday for a decade ( the same one ) if I have my trousers on then I have my Leatherman Wave and a fenix LD22. I lost the driver bit - Leatherman replaced it no quibble. no charge, no delay - job sorted next day delivery. My Wave has sdaved my dogs lives 4 times, freed 5 sheep, dismantled a bathroom - saving £15k of damage from flooding, despatched 4 road injured deer and saved countless days out. Previously I tried SOG and Gerber and neither measure up - just my view. BUT I live in the UK and the two locking knife blades on the Wave do cause me to worry. So seeing the UK legal Rebar I didnt hesitate. The service was great and the Rebar is a good tool stand alone. But its competing against what I firmly belive is the best all round multi-tool in the world - the Wave. The Rebar works fine, but the tool selection just doesnt match up to the Wave. If the legalities are your main concern, go for this full size tool with confidence. It will sound absolutely crazy, but for now I will risk having to justify my choice in court and the Wave will remain my first carry choice, but the Rebar offers a handy option. Now if Leatherman would just offer a non locking 2" blade Wave version - they would make on stalwart fan extremely happy!”

“Overall the tool is great, leatherman wave perfect for camps. This is my first leatherman ever and I actually got it shipped from the US to Malaysia. A little heavy but still I'd rather carry it in the jungle cause of the benefits. The second problem I had was the tool was made for right handed people and I'm a left handed. Yes it's true a small minority of left handers out there having the same complain. But I really do suggest that maybe you could possibly make an assembly of tools for left handed tools aswell. It still works fine. The tool will definitely be more comfortable if it was on the dominant hand as likely majority of the population are right handed. Maybe someone should help out the minorities a little. Just a suggestion. The third was when I first got it, it was really stiff and for the one handed opening I cut myself cause there wasn't much grip on it. The thumb hole is good but if it's wet it can get hard to open as you know there isn't much friction between steel and water. So I oiled it with WD40 as suggested and made my own grip as the picture shown. It works like a charm :) suggestion to also make some rubber grips on the holes.”
