Bought a Leatherman Tread and couldn't be happier, the service was quick and thorough. From point of order to delivery everything was smooth. As for the product quality, I was very pleased. I have found it very useful in many situations and my kids also pester me to use it for themselves. The laser etched engraving is still prominent despite the Tread having been scratched, banged, dropped an abused. Overall, I am happy with the service they provided and would happily buy from these guys again!

Very Quick efficient service. One snag the sheath for my leatherman was too small to include the bit kit and this was never stated. However I called and a gentleman went through every sheath to see which one would fit and we got it sorted. Great service. Thank you.

I chose to order a leatherman through Multo-tool-Store as the pricing was competitive to the other sites I browsed. Delivery was fast and my husband was pleased with his birthday present. Yes I would use again.

I bought a LEATHERMAN TREAD for my partner who is an engineer who is delighted with it. One of the highlights of the products was the ability to travel on aircraft with the tread as an approved feature - "Travel Friendly - This product is compliant with current TSA (Transportation Security Alliance) regulations for allowable carry-on items. Please visit www.tsa.gov for a complete list of regulations". We recently travelled to Europe from London Gatwick Airport. Given the value of the tread we decided to store it in our hold luggage rather than risk wearing it - contrary to the feature above. We spoke to at least two airline security officials prior to making this decision and their advice as they weren't sure was to stow in the hold. When we then went through security we asked the searching officer if we would have been able to take it through. He referred us to the Head of Security who we spoke to in person who was on that particular shift at Gatwick and asked his advice. Not a single member of staff had ever heard of a multi tool leatherman tread. They said that it was a good choice to stow in the hold and they recommended not risking ever taking it through airport security. Although they hadn't heard of the tread their main concern was that the tool had a screwdriver which would be of concern. They stated the only likely viability of going through security was if you had proven use for it e.g. needed to adjust a wheelchair etc. I am going to also email Leatherman for their advice as I would imagine a lot of this is down to local knowledge. However, my advice to any traveller would be to stow your tread in your hold luggage and not wear or hand luggage. If you are not permitted to take it through security you would voluntary have to hand it over or return to the main airport to make arrangements to get it back to yourself on return from holiday. There are no facilities for storing valuable personal possessions - so is a simple choice - voluntarily leave your tread or miss your flight. Advice worth knowing for any Leatherman Tread fans who are travelling.
